Solid Waste Truck Driver - Meadow Lake (APPLY NOW)

Key Accountabilities:

• Operation of Front-end, Roll-Off, or Side-Load waste and recycling collection equipment as a full-time operator, training on equipment is provided.
• Coordination with fellow operators and employees within other departments to ensure maximum efficiency in daily operations.
• Equipment maintenance, Container maintenance, buildings and facilities work, and other duties as requested, when additional drivers are not required.
• Adherence to company, and customer, site safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Class 3A license required (1A preferred) with acceptable abstract (submit with resume)
• Working knowledge of Meadow Lake, SK and surrounding area
• Experience driving in city traffic and rural roads
• Able to work both in a team environment and unsupervised
• Excellent logistical and organizational skills
• Good communication skills
• A criminal record check will also be required.

Position & Scope

The Administrative Assistant at Protex Environmental is responsible for providing administrative support to the Office Manager along with other departments in the organization. The position is also responsible for answering phone calls and inquiries from current and potential customers and transferring this information to our service team to take care of customer needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support our Accounting and Office Manager with various functions
• Assist with preparation of monthly accounts payable reports
• Assist with preparation of monthly bank reconciliation
• Complete credit checks and new customer setup
• Handle document filing and maintaining organized records
• Provide excellent customer service and professionalism to all customers via in person, telephone, email, or via the web.
• Answer incoming and make outgoing calls or requests.
• Process customer payments via internet, telephone and in-person as needed.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Training / Experience Requirements:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Motivated, proactive, and a team player.
• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Post-secondary education is considered an asset but not required

We seek an energetic individual who seeks more than a typical truck driving role. Our Picker Truck Operator engages with customers daily on collection routes.

Position & Scope:

The Picker Truck Operator will be responsible for operating our class 5, (and potentially 3A) collection unit for waste material collection across North-Western Saskatchewan. The Operator will require a high level of professionalism and customer service to consistently build positive customer relationships and to promote Protex Environmental's service throughout our great province!  

Key Accountabilities

• Follow schedules and service orders in accordance with the Service Coordinators instructions
• Provide exceptional on-site service to customers and continuously promote Protex's service offerings
• Complete service paperwork in accordance with Protex and TDG regulations
• Safely operate all required transport equipment & ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of truck cab, components, and other assigned equipment
• Participate in the Protex safety programs including: safety meetings, last minute risk assessments, and job hazard assessments.

Requirements

• Clean drivers abstract Class 5 is required, Class 3A or 1A considered an asset
• Experience in driving a manual transmission
• Boom Truck Experience (preferred, but will train the right candidate)
• Able to work independently
• Customer service experience
• TDG knowledge and experience
• Experience working in a safety sensitive environment
• Excellent driving skills with a strong focus on safety

The Vacuum / Hydrovac Truck Operator position is responsible to perform a very diverse range of activities within our company including: car wash interceptor pit cleaning, sewage loading and hauling, hydro-excavating, hazardous waste loading and hauling, confined space entry, and hazardous materials spill clean up. The position may also include used oil materials recovery, equipment maintenance, buildings and facilities work, and other duties as assigned. Position & Scope

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for ongoing maintenance and repair of a wide variety of equipment, both mobile and stationary
• Hands on troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, overhaul, and maintenance of trucks and heavy equipment used in waste hauling, earth moving operations, and commercial trash compaction equipment and balers
• Dealing with breakdowns in the shop, on the road, at the landfill, and at customer sites
• Adherence to company, and customer, site safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned 

Requirements

• Heavy Equipment, Truck and Transport Technician, or Industrial Mechanics, some experience with truck and trailer an asset
• Experience in electronic and pneumatic control systems, diagnostics on control systems hardware and software problems is an asset
• Minimum valid Class 5 drivers license with acceptable abstract required As a condition of employment.
• Able to work both in a team environment and unsupervised 
• Good communication skills
• Own Tools/Equipment
• Steel-toed safety boots
